Invest in Alaska’s next generation of leaders!

Alaska Youth Orchestras is building a community where music education and performance are valued and shared. With three diverse and creative programs serving 500 youth (K-college) each year, we teach responsibility, commitment, self-confidence, discipline, and teamwork – values that will serve our musicians well no matter their chosen career path!

The Anchorage Youth Symphony serves high school and college age musicians by providing a professional level rehearsal and performance experience. Headlining AYO’s three Celebration Concerts, this amazing group of youth musicians never fails to impress!

AYO’s Symphony School Ensembles, our preparatory program, serves youth musicians grade 4-12, with progressively more advanced ensemble opportunities to prepare them for the Anchorage Youth Symphony and to raise the level of youth music throughout our community.

After School Music, a partnership with Camp Fire Alaska, is AYO’s outreach program. Serving about 400 children (K-6) in the Anchorage area, After School Music is what we like to call a music INSPIRATION program, introducing a love of classical music to our youngest participants and encouraging them to engage in a life of music education, performance, and supporting the arts.

With your support, AYO builds musicianship, inspires our youth to love music, offers enriching opportunities for music performance, and creates a musical legacy that will sustain arts throughout the lives of our members and our communities!
