Alaska Youth Orchestras is growing!

Symphony School Ensembles are the newest addition to our AYO family of programs designed to help build a community where music education and performance are valued and shared. The program offers youth musicians (advanced beginner to intermediate skill level) (grade 4 and up) performing ensembles that are designed to develop good technique, learn to produce advanced sound production on their instrument, and develop music literacy skills in keeping with the national standard repertoire for youth symphonies. These skills will prepare young musicians for participation in AYO’s highest level performing group, the Anchorage Youth Symphony, as well as for greater musical achievement in other community and school music programs.
